PP-EVOH-PP is a sheet produced by the extrusion method, which has higher barrier properties and is mainly used for packaging rice and other products. The sterilization method is high-temperature sterilization. The shelf life is about 12 and 18 months.
The EVOH layer is about 40μm, so the product cost is higher.

PP-EVOH-PE is a composite of PP sheet and EVOH-PE film, but the barrier performance is not as high as PP-EVOH-PP. Mainly used to pack meat and other products. When packaging meat, nitrogen and carbon dioxide are added to suppress bacteria, maintain the bright color of the meat, and extend its shelf life. The shelf life is about 15 to 17 days.
The EVOH layer is about 6μm, so the product cost is much lower than PP-EVOH-PP.
The PE on the surface of PP-EVOH-PE has a good heat-sealing effect with the PE sealing film, and the PE sealing film can also prevent fogging.
The PP-EVOH-PE material was first developed and used by the American company CRYOVAC, and gradually adopted by many meat producers.
